Hi Gina: I would suggest that he go for treatment. He needs to join a group like AA. I feel that if he is willing to put this problem in God's hands and trust that He will perform the miracle. He can totally remove the desire of alcohol alteather. We must pray, have faith and trust that He will answer our prayers according to His will. I beleive that God wants the best for us and that we need to claim all His promises and He will bless us.Re: Feelings of helplessness

: Hi,
: I hope this is OK, I just wanted to put some of my thoughts and feelings in writing. My husband of 12 years is an alcoholic and for the past 2 years he's been on a nonstop drinking binge. He only drinks beer, so all of his friends thinks there is no problem. Why do people think for you to have a drinking problem means you have to be drinking liquor or wine, that beer doesn't count? They all contain alcohol! Anyway, I have been trying forever to get him to get help, with no luck. We went to visit family during Christmas and he was sober for 5 days straight and so far still is. I hope he can manage to keep it up! We have a beautiful 8 year old daughter that this is starting to have a bad affect on too. So I would appreciate any advice and all the prayers I can get. Thanks for letting me sound off.
