I hope this is OK, I just wanted to put some of my thoughts and feelings in writing. My husband of 12 years is an alcoholic and for the past 2 years he's been on a nonstop drinking binge. He only drinks beer, so all of his friends thinks there is no problem. Why do people think for you to have a drinking problem means you have to be drinking liquor or wine, that beer doesn't count? They all contain alcohol! Anyway, I have been trying forever to get him to get help, with no luck. We went to visit family during Christmas and he was sober for 5 days straight and so far still is. I hope he can manage to keep it up! We have a beautiful 8 year old daughter that this is starting to have a bad affect on too. So I would appreciate any advice and all the prayers I can get. Thanks for letting me sound off.
