Little Boys

To pull a red wagon filled with puppies,
To slide down a sliding board yelling with glee.  
To build a house of blocks,
or sit in the sand and play with a truck.  
To swing high and laugh with glee.  
Little boys are a precious gift from God.  
No matter the time of day they are ready
for a hug and I love you,
To pick up a puppy and hug it tight, 
To reach up to take Daddy’s habd and go for a walk,
Laugh and talk because Haddy’s little man.  
At the close of the day when he’s all tired out, 
Mama reads a bedtime story, says I love you,
Tucks her little man in to go to sleep.  
As she stands and gazes at her son in the soft 
moonlight she realizes this is God’s most precious 
gift to make their Family circle complete.
Nothing is as precious as her baby boy,  
Truly a gift created out of special love
and Blessed by God above.
